Vita Felice Kennel

 Located in Northern Illinois, Vita Felice Kennel was founded in 2021 by Helen Korbut and Yuri Kalmykov. We are a small family owned and operated kennel, where dogs live at home with our family and enjoy the company of kids and adults. Our dogs participate in various activities from conformation to herding and barn hunt. 

We had dogs growing up but our first step into dog sports was in 2019 when we saw a picture of a little aussie puppy and just had to have him. We named him Cooper and started learning training and grooming. Cooper is now a UKC and AKC CH and he loves to show. 

In early 2021 we met our first Lagotto and fell in love all over again. These cute, curly and cuddly dogs are definitely very special. In July of 2021 we acquired 2 Lagotti, whom we adore. We are still working closely with our breeder and planning on bringing more dogs into the US. 

We were very lucky to get a first dog with an amazing temperament. However, being at the dog shows, we saw that not all dogs are like that. Seeing some unhappy endings, we decided temperament would be one of the most important things in our breeding program, right there with genetic and health testing as well as proper structure. Our goal is to produce healthy puppies with great temperaments.
